Students interested in our Graduate and Professional Studies programs should review the complete directory of programs to determine admissions requirements.

Note: The discovery of fraudulent or plagiarized documentation within submitted materials, at any point in your matriculation to the university, will result in an immediate denial or revocation of your acceptance offer. This action includes the forfeiture of any associated application fees, enrollment fees, and other relevant charges.

Please note that the standards below are not universal to all 91´óÉñèÏÈÉúǧÈËÕ¶ Graduate & Professional Studies programs. For example, certain programs such as, but not limited to, those in the School of Orthodontics have higher requirements. We suggest you review your program's page to confirm the English requirement prior to applying.

Demonstrated English proficiency is required of all non-native English speaking international students who come from a country where English is not spoken amongst the masses.

Additionally, international applicants who demonstrate academic achievement through the completion of one of the following may have the English proficiency requirement waived, subject to review by the Office of Graduate & Professional Studies.

  • Hold an earned equivalent of associate's, bachelor's, master's or PhD degree from a recognized/regionally accredited U.S. institution or country where English is the official and spoken language.
  • Have successfully completed one academic year in a qualified degree-seeking program at a recognized/regionally accredited U.S. institution or a country where English is the official and spoken language.

Applicants who are applying to 91´óÉñèÏÈÉúǧÈËÕ¶ with college/university credits that were received outside of the United States will need to complete a course-by-course foreign credential evaluation. The college/university transcript will not be reviewed without this evaluation completed and an official copy must be sent by the organization that made it.

Most evaluations are valid for 5 years, however, this may vary depending upon the evaluation organization. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure the evaluation is valid up until the date of matriculation.
